We leave ours hooked up to shore power year around, leave Refrigerator, on. Also leave air condition on 80 to keep humiduity down in unit. All is well.
Had fresh water coming out from underbelly when filling fresh water tank. Found out there was two over flow pipes, why I don't know. One was 1.5" lower on tank, allowing water to drain out of tank and run along frame and into under belly. Fix, capped lower overflow and added extension to other...
Installed a set on my Ram 3500 and love them. One thing I did learn was how much factory tubular steps kept rocks from chipping paint on dually fender. To solve problems purchased a pair of heavy duty front mud flaps that hang down to about 3" above road. Problem solved.
Re: Paper Gasket
Had same issue with our rig, used a plumbers tape which was like plumbers putty to solve problem. Was no rubber gasket just paper which rotted out.
Merry Christmas,
May God continue to meet all your needs and bless your family. Praying for many enjoyable camping trips for you and family and a happy new year. God Bless, ken
Problem finally figured out and repaired, turbo had a was malfunctioning. Sat at dealership for 21 days before taken care of this time. Now have recall on front end waited over a month to get dealership to do it! Decided it is time to use a new dealership. Hard to get good service after the sell!
After a long talk with Manager of service department last night, here is what he said "we must get it to duplicate problem for us or store a code on what is happening in order to know what and how to fix it". They have truck to drive and repair a recall on front end. Very disappointing to spend...
Bring everyone up to date. Truck is back in shop same problem. Called Ram manufacturing complaint line. Waiting on call back. Owned truck 12 months, been in shop at least 8 times for same problem. Not to mention several recalls.
Have not had any of the issues you list, yet. Does have a little clung sound at drive shaft. Have had my 2014 3500 Larmie Megacab sometimes develop a lope at idle and shut off. Will start right back up. Dealer cannot find anything wrong. Love this truck other than this. Only have around 9,000...
Just got my BH out of repair shop for issue with grey water tank leaking into underbelly. It appears grey water tank for shower completely full and leaking out of packing around valve. Took them days to figure it out. It was covered under warranty.
Sorry to hear your story, we too had a very bad experience
with the dealer we purchased from (Lazy Days Seffner FL), PRICE WAS GOOD BUT SERVIC DEPRTMENT FULL OF LIARS, SALESMAN TOO AFTER SALE. Heartland does stand behind their product and allowed our local RV dealership to do warranty work with...
Re: Fridge will not run on propane while Traveling Down the Road
Just got my Big Horn back from dealer (stay away from Lazy Days Seffner FL, GREAT TO BUY FROM NIGHTMARE FOR SERVICE!!!!!!!!) The gas line was kinking when slide closed.
Thanks for your input, I guess a new pin box will be on my list for future purchase. Right now got get over purchase of fifth wheel and garage to park it in. Plus enjoy it some.
Truck and trailer are level, have what ever come with Reese 16000 pound hitch and 2013 3455RL, sorry new to fifth wheels have had travel trailers up till now
When we picked up our new fifth wheel it towed home real smooth and quiet. Upon getting it ready for first trip as I went to check tires found out dealer had tires at 60lbs, (which really aggravated me because all I heard from salesman about check tires before each trip, also may add when we...
Thanks, we are getting it from Lazy Days in Seffner FL and have arranged to camp for two nights at their campground to check things out. Have had two travel trailers but this is our first fifth wheel and it has a lot more features for sure.
 We are picking up our new BH 3455 RL Saturday. This is our first fifth wheel and Heartland product. Any tips or feedback from anyone who owns this model or just tips on Heartland would be appreciated. Thanks Ken
