    Cyclone 3812

I've looked closely at both. The smaller struck me immediately as a good 'fit' for my truck and needs, but then I looked at the 3812 and loved the layout and roominess.

    Cyclone 3812

That's the same truck I have, with 20" wheels, FX4, '06 with 6.O, and we also have two bikes -- Harleys. Together, they weigh 1550 lbs. dry. We considered that new fifth wheel version of 3010, but that third slide on the 3812 makes it so much roomier. We also like the bedroom configuration...

As I understand it, I can also adjust the gain. There's a switch on the dash. But the manual seems to be saying that the trailer brakes are integrated with the truck brakes, not acting independently as you suggested. Am I wrong?

How long have you owned the 3812 and how many trips have you pulled it?

    Cyclone 3812

Thanks, Mike. We love the floorplan. Now we're trying to figure out if my F-250 will pull it safely. BTW, we saw it at Explore USA, near Denton north of Dallas.

Here's what Ford says in their on-line towing brochure: TowCommand Integrated Trailer Brake Controller The only trailer brake controller wired directly into the vehicle’s electrical harness and brake control logic, it ideally matches the braking force between the tow vehicle and the trailer to...

The sidewall info on my 20" tires indicate the same capacity as yours, 3750 lbs. @ 80 psi.

Overload springs, not airbags? I hear springs are cheaper, work as well and with less maintenance. Any particular brand?

Sadly, I'm not very mechanical, but I thought the tow command adjustable braking system would be ample. Is that wrong?

I too am looking at 5th wheels as a newcomer, but we're wanting a toy hauler in the worst way. I currently own a '06 Ford F250 Fx4 with 20" wheels, SW, off road suspension, tow command/tow boss. I cannot seem to find 'precise' info on what those 'extras' do for my towing/king pin capacities. I...

    Cyclone 3812

We spotted the new Cyclone 3812 at a dealers last weekend and really liked it. Trouble is, the on-line spec sheet doesn't give dry weight or hitch weight. Heartland, can you provide that info ASAP please?

Ford PSD Owners, I Need Advice

New to all this and apologize is it's a stupid question, but I've heard the Ford 6 liter engine has had lots of problems. Have they been solved and if so, what year models should we avoid. We're looking for a used one to pull a 3210 toyhauler that we've yet to buy. Thanks for any input.

    Picking-up 08 3210 next week

Sure would love to hear about your experience with the 3210 since purchasing. We're leaning heavily toward that same unit. Also, what are you pulling it with?

    Troubles with Cyclone 3912

Scott, I notice that you posted the same phone number for a 'direct line to customer service' and to parts. Is that correct? Note from Admin: Customer Service, Dealer Services and Parts are now located in the same new building. I suspect the number to be the same.
