Is anyone able to suggest a nice full hook up CG in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, TN area? We would like to arrive around June 27. Thanks

A couple that we've stayed at over the years, but are on the North end between Pigeon Forge & Sevierville. if you like the outlet malls, DollyWood, Governor's Crossing, musical dinner theaters, then these are good locations. If you're wanting to get right into the Gatlinburg & Smokey Mts. then you may want something closer to Gatlinburg. Traffic in the summer going from these sites to Gatlinburg & park can be extremely slow & congested depending upon time of the day.

This one down along the river with a variety of nice spots that have been pretty level. We've been there about 4 times in the last few years and like it.

We've stayed at the following a couple of times, it's top of the line for camping, if you're pulling a 5er or TT you'll have to back into the site, only motorhomes can use the riverfront sites, but the view is gorgeous and there are gazeboes set up for all campers to use.

Enjoy your visit, it's a great destination.

River Plantation is an excellent rv park, but you have to book early. They told us it's already booked for 4th of July weekend with a long waiting list. We were number 4 on the waiting list since February and just got a site. We try to stay there now every time we go to the Smokies.

a few weeks ago we stayed at ripplin waters campground. it is in sieverville and easy to find.
nothing fancy, but the sites are roomy and flat. there is a pool and the cost (at that time) was $26/night for a full hook-up! the internet connection worked well, but their dish tv was not connected - we did get several antenna stations. usually we don't worry about that - but it rained alot so it kept us inside...:(
guess it just depends on what you need.

I think Creekside is the one we stayed at a few weeks ago. Only stayed 2 nights and wife made reservations. Anyway there is that one, Riversedge, and something else as you are about to leave Pigeon Forge. They are almost connected. They were all nice. You can make reservations online, and see your spot on some of them.

Another vote for the Jellystone Campground in Gatlinburg. The new owners are great.
I stayed there in March '09. Get a spot next to the creek.
