Very little hot water in my 22fds

Just did our maiden voyage in our new '09 22fds. Loved it except the hot water didn't work very well. There is plenty of hot water in the tank but very little gets to the faucets. Somtimes it is luke warm but that is it. Anybody got any ideas before it goes to the dealer? Thanks

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and Family. You will find lots of great people here with lots of information.

To start with, you need to check 2 things. If you have an outside shower, make sure the hot and cold valves are turned off. Then check the water heater bypass valves are correct, the in and out open and the center bypass closed. Either one of these could cause your problem.

I'm sure some others will jump in also if this does not help.

Thanks for the tips Jim. The outside shower valves were off so I guess I have to find the bypass. There seems to be no access panel for the hot water heater so I assume it is under the corner bed. A pain to get to. I may let the service people do it when I take it in. Thanks again.
