Slide topper

The slide topper over the sofa/dinette, has never been tight. It constantly has a belly in it. It holds water all of the time. Can they be adjusted? The one over the bedroom is taught all of the time. Any suggestions?

Toppers

the toppers can be adjusted. don't do it if you don't know how. some are spring loaded and one can get hurt if things don't go right. It is best to have two people, too.

I did this once by running the room in, which takes allot off the spring, slide the end off real slow and wind it one or two turns and replace, run the the room out checking that you are not two tight.
My big room always stays tight...

Jim,
Sounds easy. Which end do I have to take off, and how? Screws, what? We haven't gotten on a ladder to evaluate the situation yet. Thanks.

GB; Both ends of your awnings are spring loaded. Be sure to pin both ends BEFORE you try to take them apart. You can then remove the hex bars and add a couple of turns. Be CAREFULL when a spring lets go it can be hurtfull. JON
