We have a north trail 21fbs and leave it plugged in when in storage. Are we susposed to unhook the battery to keep from overcharging it and burning it up?

marsha, you do not have to unhook the battery when parked and plugged in. Your converter/charger will take care of it. One thing it will not do is put water in it for you. Make certain that you check the water levels in the battery regularly and add distilled water as needed.

Also when checking the water levels keep away any spark or flames. If you need to top up the water, use only distilled water and its a good idea to wear safety goggles as the fluids inside the battery contain acid.
