New "Table" and Ottomen

The DW and I rarely used the dinning table for anything other than piling stuff on, so we removed it and I built a top for our dog kennel out of the shelving boards that come "pre-finished". We like it as it works as a side table for the couch. While I was testing my carpentry skill, we decided we would like an ottomen for the couch. I was not going to pay La-z-boy $500 for one, so I made a 2' by 3' storage ottoman and upolstered it ourselves. Total it cost us less than $75. here are some pictures of our work.
