One item that needs attention is the ladders (or lack of) on our 4012. The main ladder to the upper loft above the garage has round tubes that "kill" our kids feet while climbing. The second would be a smaller ladder included with the bed option in the garage. Right now we use crates but a ladder would be a nicer addition.

I had to "modify" our ladder by attatching 1"X 2" strips of wood to each rung with 1/4" carrage bolts drilled into each rung. My wife is short so we live with a 2 step stool where ever we go, so we use it in the garage for the bunk beds also.
It is tough to drill the holes in the tubes of the ladder, I had to use a punch to start the holes.
