I have not had my CB mounted in my truck for a number of years.....DW loves that!

In this day of cell phones.....I wonder how many of you are still using your CB radios?? If so ...... what channel do you monitor??

If we are traveling in a group we use the walkie- talkies. If by ourselves will us the CB- keep on 19.

We still use our CB to monitor traffic and also monitor the weather band whenever poss. use ch.19 TRAVELER07

I drive a truck so ch 19 gets pretty old for me, too many professionals. But still have it in the tv as we travel with a group lots of times and on the motorcycle we use ch 40, so when we're together pulling campers we use ch 40. Makes for a fun time and helps each other out getting into new places for the first time.

We also do not use the CB anymore. If with a group, we use walkie-talkies and use Sirrius radio and radar on the cell phone for weather info.

More of us Canadian truckers are switching to the VHF radios. Longer distance and less garbage than you hear on 19.
The only reason I still have a CB in my trucks is because most US Escorts don't have VHF and we have to communicate somehow and also with the odd trucker that does answer the radio.

I quit using my CB when the airwaves began to fill with filthy language and nasty talk. If we need to communicate with others we use the family radios

Seems to my the Good Sam club members use Ch 13. I saw the familiar red and white Good Sam sticker on a trailer last week that said "CB13" on it.

I monitor channel 19 for road and traffic conditions. When we're traveling with someone else who has a CB we go to another channel without the "professional trucker" language.
