Our owners manual tells us that on auto setting when switched to lp and your on the road and shut of engine lp will shut off automatically assuming you are refueling. Am I losing it or did this sound right. Thanks.

Hi casaverde2,

NO, this is not correct as far as I know. The only way to shut off the lp gas is to physically turn off the valves on the tanks. The auto setting lets it change from lp to shore power automatically.

I think you are misreading the manual because it is recommending that you shut off the lp while refueling.

Hello casaverde2,
I agree with jimtoo. The manual you are reading is assuming your fridge is installed into a Motor coach. Meaning, the RV is self mobile, not a towable.

Even the LP gas detector in the unit is not connected to a shutoff valve ( required in a motor coach ).

If for any reason, you need to completely shutoff your LP, start crank'n on the LP tank valves to get it done.

Thanks,
LK
