RV's are next

Hold on to yer hats. Me thinks the next industrey the Obama nation will want to get into and try to save is the RV industry. The govt could put, perhaps 15 or 20 percent of the cost of the new rv! Just saying........

Interesting conflict of interest since they'll be coming after our tow vehicles like wild animals.

Tax...how? There's already a state sales tax, paid once. A license/registration fee, paid once. And then there's the tax deduction since it qualifies as a vacation home. To take that away would generate a howl from every cottage owner, big boat owner, and mostly, from every stinking Congressman/woman we have.

Come on, Rick, divulge your source for this new tax. Or are you just rabble rousing. And no, I didn't vote Socialist, either.

John, ET all, sorry if I hit a sore spot, I did not mean to get political. I should have said "could" and not "will" in my second post, with my tongue in cheek. "(oops my bad. Even though Mr. Obama said he would not tax the middle class, let us not forget the famous words of one George Herbert Walker Bush; and those words were "read my lips, no new taxes".

Okay enough of this stuff. I am censoring my self and will not speak of this stuff again.... We must keep this site as apolitical as possible

You never know. A government owned RV company? HUM. Anything is possible nowadays. LOL

Tax's

Our Tax situation as for the RV industry, well I guess some will remember in the past the Government put a so called Luxury Tax on the Boating industry. It just about put the Boating industry out of business. Of course our Country is on the verge of becoming a third world Country, if things don't change in 2010 and for sure 2012. We are in trouble, and it looks bleak. This year alone we have paid sales Tax on our 5th wheel, Trucks and Car to the tune of just over $10,000 dollars. I am happy to be able to pay the tax's but I see waste everyday from the Federal, State and Local Government. But some wanted change well they have got it, what a mess. TAX is comming, so get ready. GBY......

Yes I do remember GHWB and his "read my lips" on taxes. I had a 36' sailboat at the time and got to pay the "water use tax" he imposed. I think that is what cost him his second term as pres.

Hang on to yer sails and rv's, there is a hurricane a brewing out there and it is called "change you can believe in". Don't get me started.......
