Ferry Q & A:
Q: Is there a vehicle height limitation?

A: The height limitation for all ferries is 13' 6". Upon entering the toll plaza there are height detectors that determine if your vehicle is over-height for our ferries.

Q: Do you have restrictions on the transport of propane gas or gasoline in containers aboard the Ferry?

A: Safety regulations prohibit the transport of gasoline and propane gas in excess of the following quantities:
  • Recreational Vehicles

Not more than two cylinders of propane safely secured to the vehicle in an upright position with valves closed and tagged, plus one only 25-litre (6.6 gal.) gasoline container, empty or full. Propane-powered refrigerators must have the thermostat control turned to the "off" position.

Sounds good! Let me just double check those dates but I think that is a good w/e. We just go to Chicoteaque over Mem. Day but that's not that w/e... Sounds like a nice place!

The ferry is nice... my sister-in-law (Lynne and Dale) live in Lewes...and every Labor Day we go down there for the long w/e and take the ferry over to Cape May just to walk around, shop and eat for the day... we're doing it again next w/e...it's become a tradition...

OK, I think we're straight now! Go ahead and tell them NJ Chapter, Heartland Owners Club and they should know what you're talking about.

I'm sorry you had any difficulty. "Specialist"????????

We were going to call when Bill got back from the store. We'll wait and see what you find out first.

Never mind, they just figured out that you probably did not even receive the agreement yet.

They suggested I wait a couple of weeks.

Ok, I'm calm now. New Jersey, so well known for it's red tape. Little did I know I was going to encounter it trying to get 10 or 12 campers parked next to one another. I'll post as soon as I get home this evening.

Jer40 I'll call you from the road!
