PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE SEVERAL
PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT ADVISED ME IF
THEY ARE GOING TO COMPLETE THE
ONTARIO REGISTRATION FOR THE
ONTARIO CHAPTER. KINDLY ADVISE
ME ONE WAY OR ANOTHER SO I CAN
UPDATE MY RECORDS FOR THE
CHAPTER.
Hard to believe that summer has already come
and gone. Those lucky enough will be starting
to think of the winter location where they will
get away from the cold and snow.
We have had a busy summer as well as much
interest in the chapter. We now have 24 signed
up members and thanks to Jim Beletti I have 6
more inquiries pending return of information.
Lyne Hallett has been busy searching out
eastern Ontario for our chapter rally next year.
We plan to be in the 1000 Islands area and it
will be the weekend of Aug 20, 21 and 22
/2010. So pencil in your calendars and as soon
as things are finalized I will let you know all
the details. Hope to even have a dinner cruise
though the islands! When everything is
confirmed we will be setting up a new thread
on the forum for info. With the growth in
membership and the location in eastern
Ontario, we are hoping for a great turn out next
summer. We know from past experience even
a small rally calls for a great time.
It would be great if members sent in pictures of
their trips or even short stories of their trips to
share with other members. We just returned
from the MI chapter rally at St Ignace MI in the
Upper Peninsula. We had a great time even
though the weather did not cooperate. They
had somewhere between twenty-five and thirty
units. What a potluck on Friday night, more
food than you could imagine. We even had a
great local bluegrass group entertain us under
the shelter after it started to rain. It rained
almost steady till Sunday morning. Jim and
Rick did a great job on the bacon and pancakes
on Sunday morning. We had two of our
grandkids with us and luckily we went to
Mackinac Island on Friday when the weather
was nice. Mackinac Island does not allow any
motorized vehicles, everything was by horse
power. One of the livery stables is the largest,
oldest operating stable in the USA. Of course
no one ate any Mackinac fudge !!!!! HA HA
Every store had samples and some were to die
for.
Two years ago when we returned from Ottawa,
we came via North Bay and crossed into MI at
Sault Ste Marie and down I75 to Detroit and
home to Amherstburg. It is a nice trip for
anyone who has the time to take it. Of course
is there any place not nice to visit in North
America in your Heartland trailer? So many
places so little time. Where next??

If you'd like to email it to me (word format) I will see what I can do with it. I am a bit of a tech geek and might be able to help.

I will email you so you can reply to it.

OK here is the PDFversion. I had to shrink the images with better compression.
