I can tell you one to avoid, the Cottonwood RV Park in Espanola NM. We stopped there on our way up here to Dolores CO and the place was a dump. They are a Passport America park but only offer the discounts starting in November. How many in their right mind comes to northern NM in November?
Concidering you indicated you were staying in Santa Fe NM.. You might look at this sitet... RV Park Reviews
One of the parks in Santa Fe is Trailer Ranch for 55+
If you have children you might look at Santa Fe KOA I don't normally go to KOA's but it looks to be descent.
I could only find 7 campgrounds in the Santa Fe NM.
See attached pic of my Streets and Trips 2009.
Oh.. there is a casino near by if you need a little distraction.
We enjoyed our stay at Trailer Ranch last November... one of the real niceties was just outside the park was a bus stop where you could get the bus to take you to the 'old town'. Sure beats driving in a city that is new to me.
We stayed there June '07. It got the job done. Nothing fancy but friendly people. On a side note, try to do dinner at La Casa Sena. Fabulous food. And I could die and go to heaven just perusing the shelves of the wine shop affiliated with the restaurant!!
Santa Fe Skies is probably the nicest. The other good thing about staying there is a new Rail Runner station close by and for a few dollars you can take it into old town and not pay to park. It is a wonderful addition.
