Do any of you out there have experiance with an extended pin box. was looking at this as an option instead of a slider. If so what brand? or model. Thanks.

I might be wrong, but I believe all Heartland fifth wheels trailers (most modern fifth wheels for that matter) come standard with an extended pin box. I have not seen a newer trailer without an extended pin box in quiet some time. Here is an illustration of the two pin boxes.

Trust Heartland when they say you can make an 88 Degree turn with OUT a slider hitch.... and as Alan states... Heartland Fifth Wheel's have their King Pin box extended more than some older Th wheels did.

Alan is correct. They are all extended. Some of the retrofits are a few inches further extended. I have no trouble making a 90 degree turn with a short bed F250. Turn sharper than you need to unless you are backing on gravel. Hard on the trailer to turn that close on pavement.
