tp wont go down

Ever since we got our 2009 28rls new, we have had a problem with tp and "pickles" not always going down. At first I thought it was from using to much paper, but not sure. There seems to be to tight of a 90 degree bend right below the toilet and everything just gets stuck right there. We are getting tired of using a stick to push it down. Anyone else have this problem? Not to thrilled to take back to the dealer but might have too.

Be sure the TP is wet prior to flushing and there is enough water in the bowl to get it to go down.

Not sure if this will help for you but on our 1st unit many many years ago we would have that same problem. We would pour bleach in the toilet and flush and wait a while fill the toilet bowl up with water and flush. That always use to work for us. Remember to use alot of water when flushing. Also use 1 ply t/p. We use Scotts and it says right on the package safe for RV's, we have been useing this t/p for years and never had a problem. No need to buy that expensive RV toilet paper. They do make a sprayer wand to put in through the toilet and spray water down in the problem area.

Yup, zactly what the others said. Plenty of water in the bowl to get things moving.

May sound gross but only digested material goes
into holding tank or down toilet. Yup that means tp
goes into a trash bag that lines a covered stainless steel foot operated trash can. No problems with back ups , use any and as much tp as you want.

We use toilet paper. Started out with Scotts. It was to thin so we went to Angle Soft. Much better. As stated above. Fill the bowl up half way so you have plenty of water to help wash the trout down stream..

No problems so far..

We've tried the 1-ply TP. No thanks! Like doing a self-administered prostate exam. Or else you use twice as much. Plenty of water, Calgon in the tank, and EVERYTHING flows out the drain. No muss, no fuss, and no stinky for us. Something about opening a can full of used toilet paper every time that turns me off. Might as well share the box with the cats. Those two diablo's would figure out a way to open the can and TP the trailer :eek::eek:

We use Charmin Basic in the orange package, and it is real good stuff. We have had no issues with clogs and our tank sensors still work. All we treat the tank with is one TCT orange drop-in, after we drain the tank. In the Augusta the pipe into the tank has a slight bend, but we have not had any problems stuff getting traped in the drain. We make sure everthing is wet and summeraged before a flush and then rinse more with the hand sprayer (best $40 accessory for a toilet).

Ya we have tried adding water to the bowl before flushing, doesnt always help. Maybe we need to try different tp. Like others have said the rv single ply paper just sucks. Just kinda curious if others had this problem, we never did in any of the previous trilers and motor homes we have had. Thanks for the replies

Are you sure there's a 90 deg. bend just below the toilet? It's usually a lesser angle, at least in my rig and our previous TT. If it is, might be worth taking back to the dealer (or DIY) to have a shallower elbow and piping put in there to aid the "drop."
