T'was the Night Before Christmas

T’was the night before Christmas and all through the park,
Not a creature was stirring ‘cause it was quite dark.

The stockings were hung off the awning with care
With hope that Beletti soon would be there.

The kids were wound up, forget about sleeping.
They thought of great gifts, worthy of keeping.

With Fox news on TV for a nightly recap
I finally settled down for a Christmas Eve nap.

When outside the rig there arose such a clatter
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

Out of the bed and down the few stairs
I threw open the door expecting to see bears.

The dim lights on the awning did not show a thing
So I turned on the scare light and saw a great thing.

When what to my wondering eyes did appear
A miniature 5er , Man I need to lay off the beer.

There was a little old driver and when he stepped from the cab
I knew it was Beletti, from the pictures I had.

He went right to work unloading his rig
And began right away roasting a pig.

I saw him fling open the big basement door
And out came a chair, a table and more.

He set up his dish and turned on the tube
And made one more adjustment to the little white cube.

He sat for a minute then took in the view
“What good looking rigs-I know all of you”

There’s a Cyclone and North Trail and right by the ledge
Wouldn’t you know, there was a new Edge.

A Big Horn and Landmark and Sundance or two
A Razor and Big Country, to name just a few.

At that point he stood and with a twinkle in his eye
Said “I have quite a few gifts before I say BYE”

He pulled out a sack as campers gathered ‘round
Anxious to see what goodies they found.

Pots and pans and BBQ grills
Awnings and hitches-Man what a thrill.

Tires and wheels, level up and more
The gifts kept coming, it was better than a store!

All the campers were happy as the sack emptied out
This is the best rally yet, there sure is no doubt.

Then I saw him turn and wiggle his nose
“I now must be going, where I don’t know.

You see my 5er just goes and I tag along
To seek out RVers who will sing me this song”

He burst into a chorus and we knew he was right

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT”

Very Good Larry. You know I'm asked to read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" two or three times a year. I'll never be able to read it again without thinking of this neat rendition.

Thanks Larry -- and what do you want me to leave in YOUR stocking??

Santa

Hey Keith,

I felt guilty writing this without mentioning you but couldnt think of anything to rhyme with Lindgren.

Terry, keep wishing for the levelup but you will need a bigger stocking.

That's OK, I'll forgive you this time:)

I wasn't going to bring Terry his Level-Up system until he started talking about leaving a pecan pie for me Christmas eve.

What a cool poem Larry! This may be the first poem I have been in. I could probably play the Santa part well (rotund) but I'd have to work on the beard and hair.

Hey Larry that was great. Didn't know you were such poet! Hope Santa shows up at Willow Tree, I would sure like for him to leave me a truck like Kevin's. Then I might even want to trade my Big Country for a new Landmark.

LARRY: Awesome poem. I really did miss you not mentioning Keith but you are right, Lindgren is a tough one to rhyme.

JIM: You will have to work awful hard to catch up to our "Santa". He is just awesome.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!
