Ice maker line freezes as it exits to the mold tray

I have had to defrost the freezer twice in the past two months to get an ice build-up out of the line coming in to the ice cube mold area. Is this common? I have purchased a tubing brush to stay ahead of this problem but don't know if this will help.

I have had the same problem. I thought I had it solved but it resurfaced again over the last couple days. My thoughts? The tube that the water comes in through is about 3/8" diameter. The slot in the plastic reservoir partially blocks this tube and causes the incoming water to splash a bit and after several days it starts to build up an ice blockage at the inlet. I tried removing the ice maker and enlarged the opening in the plastic reservoir so it wouldn't splash. It had been working fine (2 months) until now. I guess I need to get after it again.
