Clicking Noise with flickering of lights, etc.

We have a 4012 model and noticed when we got back from dinner that every minute there would be a clicking noise that accompanied the lights, heater, radio flickered when the clicking noise came on. Has anyone experienced this before? If so, what is the issue?

This is the first time we have used it. I've already looked in the owners manual and there was no information.

Thanks!!

Hi jmatheson,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and Family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to try and help when and if needed.

Can you locate the clicking noise area?
Are you plugged into shore power and it is turned on?
Is your heater working properly, putting out heat? If not, is the propane turned on?

If your heater is trying to come on and not being able to get ignited, you will hear it clicking and it will dim your lights slightly.
Also, your water heater can cause the same problem.

Let us know what you find.

Try shutting things down one by one at the breaker box. If it does it ever minute or so it should not take long to figure out which circuit. Do you have one of those current fixer-uppers? I think they call them power conditioners or surge protectors.

We have located the clicking noise that happens every 30 sec/or so...it is located next to the battery disconnect panel...it has 2 wires connected (like a relay).
