Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and hopefully to the family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to help.
I have a Bighorn 3055RL and also use a Trailair Pin box. The Trailair and others take the sharp shock out of the connection between the truck and trailer at the hitch. So when you hit a hole, bump or what ever,, instead of direct transfer from bed of pickup and hitch to trailer, it is greatly reduced due to air bag absorption of transfer impact. Some hitches do not use air bags,,, I have not used one without and do not see how they could work very good. But we like our Trailair..
