What are they good for

I noticed that they are notches in the arms on my electric awning what are they for. will try to post photos.

Most likely those notches are to allow the frame to fold and the notches will go over where a bolt or something is through the piece that it folds up against when the awning is retracted.

Yes but without the non essential verbiage. If it were Madden, there would have been excessive verbiage.

Ya see you got this little notch here "bingo" and it gonna runn up here "waha" and meet this pin here "bam" and then this notch over her is going to swing in place "wacha" and clear this other pin "bam" then the whole thing is going to fold up and hit the wall of the trail with a much bigger "BAM".
