Awning clips

When retracting my awning today, the clip that hold the upper support arm broke. It just pulled apart, but looks like there was a spring inside it which is now gone. Does anybody know if this part is universal for all awnings or would I have to get it from the dealer?

My recommendation would be to take it back to a dealer since it is covered by warranty and they can be a pain rewinding.

I had the same problem 3 weeks ago. I was lucky and found the spring. If you an find a small spring or cut one down maybe out of a non working pen it will pop right back in. No big deal. Its just a very small spring. just enough to push the clip up to hold your support arm in place.

Thanks for the help. I will try that, but called the dealer today and they said they would drop a new part in the mail for me. If I don't get the part by this weekend, then I will try to fix myself since we are heading back out again the following weekend.
