Switch replacement

I searched and I probably missed it, but can you replace the dinky little 12 volt light switches with regular full sized household switches? Getting a little tired trying to find those little things and they keep popping out of the wall.

Thanks in advance...

The only issue I would find it the depth of some of the walls may not accommodate a regular light switch, let alone the mounting box.

you would have to enlarge all the mounting holes and cut off the spade connectors on all the 12 volt wires.

You could look at the style in the LR of the Landmarks. They are larger but kind of mount on the surface.

Switch Replacement

The spade would go under the screws on a household switch
stranded wire would not work very well on the push-in connections.
I have yet to find any electrcal mounting boxes in our Heartland
it has holes cut into the walls with scerws holding the switch in place.
The home stores have boxes (about 1 1/2 deep)that fit into our inner & outter walls to do the installation the right way.

I'm pretty sure code doesn't require (electrical) boxes on 12V DC devices. It does require (electrical) boxes on 120V AC.
