Ma. to Utah and in between

Leaving Ma. to Branson in August. Then criss crossing Texas and on to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. Up across New Mexico and Arizona to Las Vegas. From Vegas to Utah visiting national parks. Utah to Mesa Verde than to the ballon festival in New Mexico in early Oct. Then back to Ma.This will be our first major trip. Any help with routing and attractions would be appreciated. Towing Bighorn 3670 with D/A 3500 dually.

We are going to hit a couple of the same places in early Aug. We will be in Moab , Ut. and re-visit the Arches and Canyonlands. Plan on visiting Mesa Verde as well.
Can't help with the route since we're doing a Northern route across to NW Montana first.
Fron previous trips I would say visit San Antonio for the Alamo and the River Walk, also the Petrified Forest in Az and the Grand Canyon then Zion and Bryce Canyon in Ut.
We also liked Albuquerque NM and Santa Fe is supposed to be very nice but we did not make it there.
The list could go on and on depending on time available. I'm sure others more familiar with the area will comment.
