We'll save the date, but can't confirm until we get closer to the summer and know our work schedules. Hope to see y'all.

Bob and Vicki, Thanks for acting so fast. Could you send me your info like full name, type rig, site, dates, etc. for my records? Thanks.

Alan, you have got to find a way to get around work schedules. Lucy really wants to meet Molly and Baxter!

Not sure if we can get there that weekend but will see what we can do. If you haven't been, Winchester Bay is beautiful and those sand dunes are a blast!

Hope you can make it. It would be shame to miss a birthday at the coast!

I need input on some ideas.

Dale,
Glad you guys can make it! We can talk about setting up some golf either at Reedsport or wherever you guys ran off to last year. If we ask really nicely and they can make it to the rally, maybe the BBQ fish and oyster guys will share again.:D

Everyone,
Please start thinking of anything you would like to do while you are at that part of the coast. There is a really cool Botanical Garden just down by Coos Bay, less than an hour away. There is a casino about 30 minutes north at Florence. There are sand dune tours right up the Hwy in big sand buggies driven by others if you don't want to rent ATV's to drive for yourself on the dunes right outside the park. We could look at crabbing and/or fishing depending on the weather. In other words, there is lots to do and I can try to set up organized activities or people can just do as they please during the times we don't have rally activities. Just let me know what you want me to do.

I'm also thinking about setting up the sale of long sleeved t-shirts with our rally logo embroidered on the left chest. I'm talking to Brad at Martin Marketing, the same company that prints all the Heartland stuff. I'm thinking a burgundy would look nice and it fits within the Heartland color scheme and would go with the sweatshirts from last year.

Lots of people talked about long sleeved t-shirts last year and they are a less expensive option than doing sweatshirts again. I also think that going through Brad will let me get a better size selection so those who want an adult men's extra small could get it instead of having a shirt they could swim in.

Does that sound like something you would be interested in buying (about $20 each) to help cover rally costs?

We'll probably do some of the other more traditional fund raisers too, but people really liked the sweatshirts last year and they really helped financially with the rally. I learned a lot from doing the rally last year and I'm learning more from watching Larry and Debbi organize the Fall SoCal rally in Buellton. I hope to make this a really nice, fun, time to meet new people.

Calling in the Morning for reservations

Hi Kristy, Yep, the fish people will be there again. Wouldn't miss it. I'll have some vac packed/frozen for you to take home instead of that nasty store bought stuff!! :D

Whoo hooo! I can hardly wait! That store bought fish was nasty....:(

I'm glad you guys can come. We had a lot of fun last year, but we might have to try to share the raffle prizes with other people this year or sell seats at our table! I guess buying lots of tickets pays off.:D:D:D Send me your registration info when you get it and I'll put you on the list.

Spaces 66 & 67 are now taken. We'll have to flip a coin as to who gets the waterfront property. As of now Thursday- Monday but that could change.

Kristy,
Can't say for sure that we will be there, but it looks prommising. We are going to be in Seaside the week before, so not too far away. Hope it works out.
Does winchester bay book up real early or could we get in closer to the time?

Hi Rand,
June isn't as busy for them as July and August. Their big sites tend to fill first and those are the ones they are setting aside for us. You can probably get a site even pretty close to the event, but it might not be very big and might not be waterfront on either side. A couple of people got sites for last year as late as April and May. If you don't care, we don't care where in the park you end up. Like I said, its a fairly small park and easy to walk around.

Hope you can make it!

Kristy
