ceiling thickness of bedroom slide in 2009 Bighorn 3055 RL

I would like to put a shelf over my head on the ceiling of the bedroom slide but have a question:

- How thick is the ceiling and do you have any thoughts about how I might mount this shelf?

I am not looking for any guarantees or for Heartland to assume any responsibilities!

I reduced the bed from to king to queen but I need more space to have a bedsize CC radio . The shelves are very small so I am thinking about placing a slat-type shelf overhead in the slide with the radio controls facing downward. I would not travel with the radio in place.

Most importantly, I don't want to compromise the roof of the slide.

Thought I would share the factory response: "The ceiling is approximately 1 ½” thick, they are built out of 2”x2” lumber and can use a typical stud finder to locate the studs."
