Keeping Drain traps open

I understand from our Heartland dealer that the shower in the BC 3250TS has a trap in the drain. As I have long hair, we are concerned about stopping up the drain. Does anyone use any kind of product to keep stuff dissolved in the traps?

I use "BALDO Hair Cream." No problem with hairy drains.

Seriously, though, rather than putting harsh chemicals down the drain, how about a soft plastic strainer pad over the drain to catch the hair.

We had a problem with our old rv, with hair in the shower drain, even with a strainer. We bought a drain trap cleaner brush from a Stanly brush dealer, or Amway and it worked great. I didn't even know they made such a thing. Cleaned the drain trap out without any chemicals. It did take years off buildup before we had this problem.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We went to Ace Hardware today and got one of those zip it things. We think it will work great, so much better than using chemicals. Thanks again.
