We felt the front door glass was a weak point on our Sundance for a few reasons.
1) It's very thin and has little insulating properties.
2) It allows unwanted light/glare in the unit. (we had home made shade but).
3) It's so easy for thiefs to break the brittle thin glass then reach in and unlock the door.
I bought 1/4" thick. 20 times stronger than glass they say, Optix @ HomeDepot. It was easy to cut with a jig saw. I painted the inside with black plastic spray paint. The overall look now matchs the windows.
