We were wondering if anyone has considered this or is doing it? Saw an advertisement at the local tire place about the advantages to it ....

We used to use Nitrogen when we were racing because we could get it that was < 2ppm water so that when they got hot, there was a lot less pressure buildup. But from what I've been able to find out since then, it has to be changed frequently or you will still get moisture increase in the nitrogen so that you have lost most of the advantage. As far as the Oxygen content of the air causing the tire to deteriorate, part of the deterioration to the rubber comes from ozone which attacks the outside of the tire plus the cords get brittle from old age, just like me. Let's see what some of the others think. I'm curious too.
