Running Heater with slides in

We have a brand new 34QSRL. On our first trip, we knew snow was coming our way, and we were worried about it accumulating on top of the slides. We chose to deploy them anyway, because I wasn't sure if I could run the heater with the slides in... since some of the floor vents would have been completely covered, and the grill for the heater intake would have been somewhat obstructed with the kitchen slide in.

Is is OK to run the heater with slides in, or not?

I have run my furnace with the slides in, while spending a night in a Wal Mart parking lot....no problems.

Many people have / can run furnace with the slides in, however please take a special effort to make sure that outlets and especially the intake are unobstructed.
