We've stayed in five campgrounds inn the past 1 1/2 weeks, and traveled almost 1800 miles and not spotted one Heartland product anywhere. We're in Ithaca, MI, for a few days and then headed back south. We're stopping by the factory and LSI while SB, I know I'll see some there.

Clark,

While LSI looks at your unit, maybe you can arrange for Scott to take you over to the plant and also show you the new plant. New plant is functional but the office space is still being built out. These plants are within a mile of LSI and Heartland's current main office.

Travel safe!

Yes, I called Heartland yesterday and they gave me another number to arrange a tour. Not sure what office it was, I had a bad connection (fringe area on my cell), thought he said the Heartland outlet, but whoever it was I talked to said to be there about 9 AM Wednesday. The address he gave me seems to be a few miles from the facory and LSI. The signal was very weak and it was tough hearing, hope I got the right info. They're building another plant? Is this in addition to the 2 they have now?

Clark,

Just guessing here but maybe there was a misunderstanding. Rob Reid, who owns Great Lakes RV Center, also owns Hartland RV Outlet on CR19 just south of the IN Toll Road. This is a couple miles from the plants. Not sure that Rob conducts Heartland plant tours but I am sure his crew can give you a tour of a bunch of Heartland RVs. Of course, you already have a nice one :)

Like I said, bad connection, but when I talked to Heartland I told the receptionist I wanted a plant tour, and she gave me a number to call. I guess she misunderstood, so I'll try again first thing Tuesday AM to set up a tour.

Clark,

Forgot to speak to your questions about the factories. Heartland builds the Trailrunners in a nearby town. They weld up walls and roof trusses and add the exteriors to walls in a plant in another town. In their headquarters office on Paul Drive, they made Landmarks. Then Landmarks and Bighorns. Then they bought the Palmaire plant nearby and used that for Bighorn. Then they added onto that plant.

They added Cyclones to the Landmark plant at HQ. Then they began construction on a new plant and HQ offices on a property next to the Bighorn plant. I "believe" they are now building Sundance in the new plant/HQ. The offices are slated to be open around the end of October.

They have moved all production out of the original HQ/plant on Paul Drive but the offices remain there for now. What I don't remember is which building Cyclones and Landmarks are now in. You can give us that update.

Hi Guy's:
I went 1668 miles on vacation, never saw one Heartland. I feel real unique when I pull in to camp or gas up. I get many approving nods.

On Sat I emailed Scott about a Landmark tour, and he replied today that they had none in production and only run them as orders come in, may be a few weeks. I called Heartland's office this AM before Scott replied and was told the same thing as before, that tours are arranged by the Heartland Outlet, and they gave me the same phone number as before. Not a bad idea for a dealer since most touring would be in the market, unlike me. Anyway, Scott will call or email me tomorrow about the tour, so I will see what he can workout.

Here is advance warning. We will be at Coushatta Casino in Kinder, LA on October 6, so I hope to see another B/H there. We saw one in June but they left the same time we did and we never got to meet.

Finally spotted a Heartland product on the road today: A Bighorn, southbound on I-75, at the rest area in TN, just south of the TN/KY line, about 3 PM.
