Body Work / Repair

I had to take the horn in to repair the ODS landing gear.
The gears stripped and had to pull the leg in the field.
Joe at J&L noticed the "boo boo" on the same side where a rock jumped out and tore a small section of the metal skirt. Rock attacks are quite common in the desert.
He said that would be a $2300 insurance job.
Since it is cosmetic and on the ODS I declined, premiums are high enough.
I then mentioned that he probably had some of my metal from when Tredit repaired the tire damge.
I thought it looked like a $200 fix so we agreed on $300.
Granted, I did the work to the waste dump lines, electical and slide adjustment bolts, part of the rock attack, did I mention that?
I will also have to do a little more work myself to clean up the hidden stuff, but it will look good going down the road.
This is the first shop I have ever dealt with that is fair and not just a rip.............
