Replacement water pump

Have you replaced your water pump? Any opinions on the best replacement brand or type? Read the reviews in Camping World and they at both ends of the spectrum for the same product! One person loves it and one hates it.

I had some problems with the original pump that came with my 3400 and called Shurflo. They sent this one, http://legacy.shurflo.com/pages/RV/rv_product_sum/rv_sum_docs/potable/premier_water_pump.html as a replacement. It's their basic, been around a long time, RV pump. If you don't do a lot of boondocking, it's probably the cheapest "good" pump available. In our previous camper we added a 2 gallon pressure tank to reduce the continuous on/off cycling of the pump. I plan on doing the same thing to this one some day. It's an easy mod,I just have to get to it.

I like the variable speed pumps, they do a pretty good job of keeping the water flow smooth.
