5ver hitch

The main complaint we have about towing a fifth wheel is that the ride is terrible. I think that if we had the proper hitch, and I have not idea which one that might be, and other equipment the ride would be greatly improved. Do thorough research and, if necessary, spend enough money to get the proper equipment. You will save yourself money in the long run by reducing damage to your fifth wheel as well as your tow vehicle.

I would suggest that you look into one of the air bag type hitches or pin boxes.
The air type hitches start at around 2 grand.
Air type pin boxes start at about 8 hundred.
I personally have a Trail Air pin box riding on a Curt Q5 20K and I think the ride is great.
You can look at a few RIGHT HERE.

Check out the B&W Turnover ball and companion Hitch. I was a little leary at first but after a little research and talking to some folks that have them I made my decision and am very glad I did. No rails in the bed, can be used as a fifth wheel or gooseneck, and best of all when the companion is removed you have a clean bed. 18000 lb rated.
