95% Decided on a 2011 3812

Well, we are 95% decided on a new 2011 Cyclone 3812. We feel we have done our research and compared this unit to the Raptor, Fuzion, Open Range, and anything else we could compare it to. My questions are: Is there anything specific we should be concerned with? Has anyone experienced any troubling problems they would like to share? Is this model as good as it looks on paper? The nearest 3812 to us is over 800 miles away, so we have not physically been inside one yet. We have looked at other model Cyclones to get a feel of quality, colors, ect.
Any info concerning this model will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks in advance,

John & Rita

Hi John & Rita,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and hopefully to the family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge if needed.

800 miles is a long way to go just for a look... but maybe we have some family members that have a Cyclone nearer to Casper, Wy that might be willing to let you come see their unit. You could also talk first hand to other owners that way. I personally do not have a Cyclone, but they are very nice, well built units.

Maybe some other Cyclone owners will jump in here and help out also.

Enjoy the forum and hopefully you will join the Heartland Family.

John, Rita, what do we have to do to get you into a Cyclone today?

Let go talk to my manager, I'll fight him tooth an nail for your deal.

OK, so much for my salesmanship. I know that you'll love the Cyclone. Once you walk into one you'll know it is the one. The other 5% you have been looking for.

Good luck,
Mark

When I first started narrowing my choices of toy haulers, I was looking for a floor plan that had an open living area and the 3950 did not do it for me.....nice unit though.......I traveled from york,Pa to Danville. Va to see the 3812 because it was the only one on the east coast at the time....I was very impressed with the layout and am very impressed with Heartland's customer service and Wilken's RV in bath, Ny....to date no major issues. Just remember any rolling house will have some kinks.....Good Luck

We are soooo happy with our Cyclone. This is our 3rd toy hauler in 5 years and am only sorry we didn't buy the Cyclone first! Probably need to step in one to see if floorplan will work though. We didn't do that with our 2nd. Had we stepped in, sat in and moved around in it, wouldn't have bought it. Will never do that again.

You can buy mine. It's a 2010 3812. I am not a handyman at all and believe me, you need to be a handyman to own a Cyclone. There are issues that pop up all over the place. You will need to be an electrician, plumber, carpenter, fridge repair guy, audio specialist... it never ends. The 3812 looks nice, but something always needs work.

After a long search we found our 3812 and fell in love with it!
Have not had any problems & has been a great experience so far, my wife can even reach all the cabinets with out a foot stool.
Hope you find one in your area to check out.
