Bighorn 3800RD - rear den door

I am wondering if the entrance door from the galley area to the rear den can be a slider rather than a hinge door? On the print, the door shows swinging into the galley area, however, in the pics I looked at of actual units, the door swings open in to the rear den.

If the sleeper sofa is open, with the door opening towards the rear den, you would not have much room to open the door (?)

thoughts?

also, has Heartland ever condsidered building a front living model (see Montana 3750FL-AWSOME floorplan-but, not a Heartland)

thnxxx~ (btw - 3800 amazing floor plan)

Thanks for your interest in our 3800RD. it is a great floor plan. After checking with engineering, there is not enough room to put a pocket door in this unit. Also, the door is suposed to swing into the kitchen so there is plenty of room to get in and out of the room when the sleeper sofa is out.

Please let us know if yo have any other questions.

We looked at the Montana front living room. They are very pin heavy. Montana stopped making them for a few years. There were problems with them.

we do not have any intention of doing a front living room at this point. We have not heard enough interest at the various retail shows - we'll continue to keep on ear to the ground and react quickly if we feel the demand is there. thanks
