RM1350 Refrigerator Auto Door Lock

My new rig has the above feature enabled, i.e. the door will lock about five seconds after it has been manually unlocked. The alternator sensing terminal at the back of the fridge has been wired with +12v to do this. This is a bit of a nuisance when parked, so I wondered if anyone has disabled this feature by pulling this wire? I presume that the door lock will still work manually, and that you'd have to remember to lock the doors when breaking camp
