flooding in Houston

Rain bands from Hurricane Alex are now affecting the Houston area. The heavy rains 8 plus inches are causing some areas of the Houston-Galveston area to flood. If you are driving in that area us caution.

Jim, we drove in the Spring-Magnolia-Tomball area tonight and saw a lot of water in the ditches and creeks, but none standing on the roads. Of course, we weren't around any of the notorious underpasses that go under water.

They said on the news that Cypress Creek at Cypresswood was over the road. Lots of flooding on the south side. Very wet here at Thousand Trails Lake Conroe but no flooding.
