'00 Razor 3110 Toyhauler--now a dog (labrador retriever) hauler

We converted the hauler area to handle six full size dog crates by beefing up the bottom bunk bed (adding tubular steel supports) and anchoring 3 crates on the floor and 3 on the lower bunk. We swapped the bunk connector pins for bolts and nuts on the connections to the rails. We also added wirelss video cams to monitor the crates from the truck. We feed our dogs raw, so we also added a 7 cubic foot freezer mounted to floor at the wall separating garage from kitchen. We had the dealer add another aircon vent, but we still don't get adequate cooling in the garage. We are contemplating adding a 2nd aircon unit to the garage. Interesting that Heartland wired for a 2nd aircon unit in the bedroom.. which happens to be the coldest room of the unit. I have been reading the threads on diverting flow to rear of trailer... still haven't figured out all the tips/tricks. Would appreciate a shortcut or summary of the "tim" mod. www.miningcamplabs.com

Hi Brad,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge if needed.

The search feature of the forum upper right corner) works really good to find the information your looking for.

I'm not sure the A/C system is the same in a Razor as it is in Landmarks, BigHorns and others, but it is worth checking out. This is link to the timk mod and it does work.

Enjoy the forum.

Ah - someone needs to get on board and see that we all like to see pictures when referring to neat mods ;)
