Carpet wet

We traveled ALL day in the rain...when we arrived at our campsite and opened the slides...the door side carpet (dining/living area) was wet with water and road grime .....I put old towels on it to draw the water, but now left with a gray stain on the carpet....
What can I do to get the road grime stain out????
How can I stopthis from happening again????

My carpet on our 36ooRL also did this. We tried SpotShot which almost always works, but not on that stuff.

For cleaning the carpet try using Resolve, it has worked well for us on spot cleanups.
