Crossroads Slingshot vs Edge M21

Hi all. I went to the Camping World sale in Milwaukee today and was looking at a Crossroads Slingshot GT27RB (Thor Industeries). Though I've had my eye on the Edge M21 for a few months now, the Slingshot looked very nice to with its all aluminum construction and 3 layers of composite construction. As well as the interior design. Its about 6 feet longer and only about 300lbs heavier than the M21. Anyone know anything about these trailers and how they compare to the Edge? Both are very similar on the surface. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi David,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and hopefully to the family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge if needed.

I can't tell you much about the construction, but I can tell you that Heartland builds a great unit, they stand behind their product and you also have this,,, the Heartland Owners Forum to help if you need it.

Get your Edge M21 and start making great memories. Enjoy the forum.

David, welcome to our Heartland Forum. I sure you'll get a response direct from the factory on your question because they see these questions. Give them a couple days though, it's the weekend. Good luck with your decision. Keep heartland in mind for the best in customer service. Thor???? Have you ever been to a casino?

I think they state the length differently than Heartland does. My M22 is 26ft long and their '26' models are 26 ft long. The 28' quad bunk model that is 'coming soon' looks good to me though. I wish Heartland would make an Edge model like that.

@finke_david - What is the interior height of the Slingshot trailers? (To the bottom of the AC, not to the roof... Funny how some manufacturers say the interior height is 6'5" or whatever and ignore the fact the AC sticks down 3 inches... ;-) The brochure says they are 9'4" tall on the exterior, which is 6" lower than the Edge. I think they are not built for tall people like the Edge is.
