Bed Frame Repair in Bedroom Slide

Over the past few months I noticed that the bed and the slide in our 2009 Razor 3612 TS were not moving together. For example the top of the slide would pitch out at the top when the slide was brought in and it appeared that the bed frame was bending 4-5 inches about 3' away from the wall.

I removed the OSB covering and found that the frame was made from 1 1/2" clear pine and was held together with 1/2" staples with a 1" crown. One of the joints on each side had come apart allowing the frame to flex and put pressure on the remaining joints.

I had some 1/2" OSB (I wanted to maintain the same decorating theme.) hanging around so I made a "plate" for each side which I stapled to the bed frame with 1" staples. Now the slide and the bed move together. Before and after pictures are attached.

I can only assume that if you have a bedroom slide (with bed) that your construction will be similar.
