Spartanburg SC KOA

As planned we have stopped at Spartanburg SC KOA on the way home from the Nashville Rally.

Because there are so few decent campgrounds in this area, several people were interested in what the park looked like now that it has become a KOA park within the last year.

Very pleasant staff. It was fun talking with them as they have been workampers for over 6 years.

Very nice overnite park. It has been cleaned up from what it was. Good interior rooads. The sites for the most part are level. For overnite they are fine. If we were to stay here for a couple of days it might take a few blocks to level up perfectly--or go buy a Level-Up system.LOL

50 amp service with sewer I think on every site.

Sites are a little tight but for those who were at Nashville...not as tight as them. Most are pullthroughs.

Nice little store with basics and some locally made doodads.

Pool is very nice although we did not use it. We wanted to but too many thunderstorms last night.

Anyway, a good campground to stay at overnight or for a couple of days to rest.

Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for the update on the campground. Glad to hear that the new caretakers are trying real hard to clean the grounds up. Will try them out on our way down to Edisto Island in September. For those that have Trailer Life Campgrounds Directory, the information of the campground is under Gaffney, SC listing.
