Wheel lug nuts and studs on BH

I'm in the process of repacking my bearings and ajusting the brakes. I noticed that the lugs and nuts has a residue on them. I figured Heartland was putting something on the threads to lock the nuts. Something like loctite. Not red or blue but either gray or white.Anyone know what it is.

I thought about that but with all the problems with them coming loose that I read about on the internet, and all the trouble I had breaking them loose I thought it may be something like loctite.

I don't believe they put anything on it. The problem with lug nuts coming loose is the fact they don't get properly torqued many times. How many RVers do you see checking the torque on their lug nuts prior to traveling? Not many. For that matter how many folks have you heard checking the lug nuts on their tow vehicles. They could loosen up also. Check the owners manual of your vehicle and it will recommend you check the torque on them.
