Weather was cool and questionable , so Beth and I took a drive today to check out the Campground that we will be holding our 2011 NY rally when it was full !! We saw many big rigs in the 37 sites we have held for our rally. We also had a nice visit with our contact person at the campground. We are very excited about our choice for 2011 rally location.

Greg, my sister in law thinks this is where they camped a few years ago....there was a masseuse there who set up shop and they are got massages...wonder if this is the same CG and if that lady is still there....she may not be, even if it's the same place...a lot can happen over the years...she might not be there anymore...

We camped at the same campground several years ago. Nice campground and several wineries up along the lake. If I recall we started on the west side and came back along the east side tasting all along to way. Bill was driving and he doesn't do much drinking so we were OK. I think it will be a great weekend and we plan to attend.

Hi Freckles

I will reply since my other half can not remember where the campground was or how many times we camped in the area.

We stayed at Interlake Rv Park, it was nice that the campground was some what close to the aerodrome, however it is NOT big rig friendly.

We stayed at Brook n Woods, this park is up the road a piece (Elizaville), however they have a great open section that it is impossible to hit anything and the section is all 50A full hookup.

The Aerodrome is a great place, all pre WWII aircrafts and other old things. Oh and Biplane rides, now that is a great (open cockpit) ride. The other half remembers that RIDE, ask her

So long as the 'engineer is there with his 10 million candle power space shuttle observing landing light, combined with Duane's ability to turn on the ramp lights while in reverse, that and 3 spotters ought to git'r done :)

Man we are having an absolutely wonderful rally in NY! A great Pot luck last night, A Skype video call to the North Carolina Rally and the best sticky buns I ever ate this morning! Had a blast at the three wineries we toured today then back on the bus to Wilkins RV where we were treated to a Chicken BBQ and some really fine displays at their Outdoor Show!

The weather has been nothing short of specatcular not to mention the views of the beautiful NY countryside in the fall!

This has been a awesome event so far!

Note: The group photo was taken at Wilkins just before we handed off our donations to the Finger Lakes SPCA which was the NY Heartland Gives Back Initiative! Way to go NY!

Hello, NY HOC Rally-goers, and especially those of you still in Bath.

We made it into North Fork Resort in Front Royal, VA about two hours ago and are now enjoying wine and cheese while dinner is in the oven.

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but we, too, had a great time at the Rally. What a wonderful group of people and the organizing job that Greg and Beth did to keep us all happy was outstanding. As you know, this is our first year with a camper and this was our first rally. I can't imagine how anything could top this.

Safe travels to you all and we will see you down the road.

I also arrived home about 8:15pm - I just want to say that I had a great time meeting you all, and there is no way I am going to remember everyone's name. For a first rally this was a fabulous way to start my involvement with HOC! Greg and Beth - you did a great job planning and executing the weekend...

Save travels - until we meet again.

Greg and Beth, you guy's are great, you went the extra mile to make sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed. Excellent rally, great laughts with great people. Special recognition to Loren and his wife for their bus donation and fire wood donations and also good conversation with them. Greg & Beth, you know how we feel about your rallies; I'll be your NY Wagonmaster any time but it might be tough competing against Loren & Joanne! What incredible generosity those two have! Hope everyone else makes it home safely and thanks again for letting Nona & me join in your fun! Until next year....

What a rally! Great people, tons of tasty food, and some very special scheduled tours/activities. Thanks to all who made this event happen and a special thanks to Greg & Beth for their efforts and making sure we felt welcomed during our 1st, but not last, Heartland Rally. After such an eventful rally, we had an uneventful and safe trip home. Carol and I will sure be attending next year's rally.

This was our first rally and just wanted to say that it was a great event. Beth and Greg did an awesome job (including making sure that the weather was incredible). They worked so hard on everything and need to be thanked and congratulated. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! We hope to be able to attend the rally in Lake George in the Spring. Neither of us were feeling good this time (some nasty bug that just won't go away) so we did not join in as much as we would have liked, but had a great time, regardless. Keep up the great work, Greg and Beth, and see you and everyone else in the Spring.

OK... I am delinquent in posting here... We made it the 20 minutes to put the camper in storage... It was a sad affair given the beautiful weather we are having...

We actually made it back to our home ~ 4pm yesterday... all safe and sound.

Loren and Joann, you are truly a dying breed... all that you contributed to this rally was definitely appreciated! Thank you.

Greg and Beth, THANK YOU for a super rally... the organization and coordination of the wine tours and cookout could not have gone any better. We had an amazing time. And the weather you ordered up was as perfect camping weather as I could imagine.

I would also like to thank everyone who attended... without the wonderful group of people that attended (first timer's thru season veterans) an event like this could never be. I truly enjoyed meeting new members and seeing old friends... this was our last outing for the year... but what a way to go out! We'll see you all in the spring...

I know...Greg says that know one will know who I am since I never post under my own sign on...so here we go:

WOW, did we have fun or did we have fun?? (I LOVE cosmos...Thanks Jimmy Cosmo Reyes--JC for short). It was great seeing old friends and making many lots of new ones. We had a great time. Thanks to all our little helpers, you made this rally very smooth for us. A special thanks to Loren and Joanne Smith, without you guys a majority of this rally would have never happened. Hope everyone has a (short--no snow--not cold) winter. See you in the spring. You guys are the best. Rally HO!!!!!

Don't forget to save the dates: June 15-16, 2012 for the next NYS Rally at the Lake George RV resort. Be on the look out in the next few days, a new rally page will be going up. Be ready for another fun and exciting rally.

We too arrived home Tuesday night safe & sound (suppose to stay until Wednesday, but was forecast to rain so decided to come home early). We left the rally Sunday pm (tired but really had a great time) & went to Ives Run Recreational area in Tioga, PA (hour away). Beautiful long weekend we had & glad everyone ordered it! Thanks to all who came to the rally & made it a special one. I'm sure all the first timers must have thought how are we ever going to top that one. Thanks to Greg & Beth for all the hard work they put into running everything smoothly. Loren & Joanne, a big thank you for their donation of buses & drivers (& wood), which we couldn't have pulled it off without. And again a big thank you to Heartland for all their support to make these rallies possible. We also put our camper on its pad for the winter (not covered yet, but soon). Really looking forward to the June 2012 rally in Lake George & have started planning around that. Hope to see everyone again next year. Don & Karen

No Wintererization in my near future. I'm currently living in my RV because of the remodel work I am doing in my house! The Floor guys come tomorrow and refinish all of my floors. I can move back into my house on the 22nd ... my Cyclone has everything I could want - except for TV reception!

I really had a great time and I am really looking forward to June 15th in Lake G.
