2011 32BUDS brake problems???

Recently came back from Lake George N.Y. and could swear that after stopping to pay toll the truck had to work harder to get going. I have a 2003 Chevy 2500 HD and had no trouble pulling a heavier camper last year. I tried shifting into neutral going down a long hill and the truck started slowing down! After about 30 min's, and putting on the brakes to see if that helped, the truck ran normal all the way home.

Any thoughts as to what happened?

Maybe the brakes on the trailer are hanging (dragging) which slows the acceleration and causes deceleration. Go to a large gravel (better yet grass) lot where you can get up to about 20 mph and then try to stop by manually operating the trailer brakes. See if one of the brakes locks up. Then as you take off see if one or more drags. It is helpful to have someone outside the trailer watching the wheels. If that happens the brakes need adjusting. Also you could have 'flat-spotted' your tire(s) that are locking up.
