Thinking of a 3/4 ton Suburban

Hey all, Current TV is a 2004 4x4 5.3l 1/2 ton Chevy z-71 truck. DW has a 2001 Suburban that we might replace in a year or so. We have a NT 31qbs. The truck does ok but a 3/4 ton would be better. Due to the expanding family, a truck for a long haul camping trip would be cramped to say the least. Anyone tow with a newer 3/4 Burban?

Thanks.

Why not get a Suburban Diesel. You have the room you need and the power to pull the TT. Keep the PU.

A diesel 3/4 ton Suburban would be a great idea....but they don't make them. Haven't had a diesel available in them for many years. If they would put the Duramax/Allison combo in them I bet they would sell like crazy.

GOTTOYS, a smaller Duramax was on the drawing board for awhile. I dont think it was scraped...just put on hold. A 6.6/ Allison would be a great combo in a Suburbi-llac.
