air mattress sofa bed conversion

Has anyone tried to replace the air mattress with a sofa bed mattress...if so how did it work and did you have any trouble closing the sleeper. Also if this is possible can you give me the site to buy this mattress...thank you for any information Jim

I can't imagine where you would store it. It would probably be a bout a foot thick folded up....We bring a queen size airbed with us to use on the floor if we need a bigger bed. Works fine...Don

Having slept on a sofa bed...you're better off putting patches on the air mattress. I don't think the mechanism for the Flair sofa will work with a foam mattress that needs to be folded.

The air matress over hangs and supports the head area. A foam mat would not.
