We just got a new 2011 3585RL.
It has been a bit cold in the mornings, so I set the main thermostat at 66 F.
It has been a bit cold in the mornings, so I set the main thermostat at 66 F.
Even though the interior temp was 70 F, the ceiling unit fan started immediately and stayed on continually.
Eventually, the temperature got low enough for the furnace to kick in, but once the furnace went off, the ceiling unit fan continued to run.
I tested it further by lower the temperature for the furnace to activate, but no matter where I placed the cut-in point, the ceiling unit fan stayed on permanently.
Is this how it is supposed to operate ?
I really don't want the fan running continually just to get a bit of heat in the early morning for those quick trips to the outhouse.
Any suggestions.
Thanks.
