Has anyone tried the Gentron Titanium 4.0? It seems to be a reasonaby priced alternative to Onan. I saw it advertised between $1100 and $1400...

I've not heard of it before but it certainly sounds like a nice unit.

Looks like it would be a nice unit. I was really surprised that the Onan has not converted over too fuel injection.

The first one I found is now showing "out of stock" and an unbelievable price of $1100.... no wonder!

You misread the page, it sells for 1900 not 1100. Easy to do with their layout. Thanks for the links by the way.

I have a used Onan 7500 that I rebuilt. Finding the manuals and parts was the easiest part of the whole job.

If I didn't already have a generator I would take a hard look at the Chinese clones. But the two biggest advantages to an Onan are: 1. They are proven reliable which is pretty important with a generator and 2. Onan parts are available everywhere. It's going to be a lot harder to find parts for these Chinese gensets.
